I think that the general thrust of what is being labelled as "anti-semitism" and "anti-Jewishness" is in fact a world wide protest and condemnation of militant Zionism that has instigated the tragedy that has befallen the Palestinians, Lebonese and the rational thinking Jewish citizens of Israel. Many people still don't understand the distinction between anti-semitism and anti-Zionism. Not all Jews are Zionists. Most are peace loving people regardless of where they live. However there are many Zionists who are actually Christian zealots harbouring an affinity for Israel (read Holy Lands) based on their version of religious scriptures. Many of these hold dual citizenship for both Israel and USA. Despite what the scriptures teach neither the Jewish nor Christian religions or the land now known as Israel can be justifiably designated as Chosen by God exclusively for the Jews. Such a notion is the product of irrational human imagination, not a Divine revelation.
